Talking Question about tissue culturing orchids

I have a Cattleya maxima that I had to cut pieces off and the base and rhizome were discarded due to black rot. The tops are fully green with no signs of infection. Can I tissue culture these parts pseudobulbs and leaves to get a new plant even if it is not meristemming?

Default

You need to have the meristem tissue. If you only have the leave portion then you won't be able to tissue culture. I am not sure if there is sufficient Meristem tissue in a pseudobulb or not. I believe you would need the rhizome.
Sorry !
