It seems I become a father, however I would love to have my babies adopted. I am not there yet. I wanted to know if anyone would have any interest in this seedpod from my Gramma? And if yes, any instructions what to do and how to do it, and ship it

Bees pollinated my flower - when bloom gets pollinated, seedpod starts to form. Look into the pic, do you see that big green pack formed under one bloom? Seeds will be inside, and when someone wants to flask them, they can grow dozens or hundreds of little orchid babies:-)

Oooooooooo. I'd love to have them but I've never flasked anything before ever and I'm pretty sure I'd fail my first time. Very tempting and I really like what I've seen of scriptum citrinum, plus I'd love to have a go at flasking but you'd best pass them along to someone else. I just know I would make a true mess of them.

Agree, that's why II wanna offer it to someone who "knows what to do". I am miles away from flasking, happy to keep my regular big babies alive, not these infant ones:-))))))

your orchid is available to almost everyone in the world....but it takes a big space for it to have a home since it can grow to a larger than life proportions = the bulb can grow as big as a baseball and the spike of my plant was four feet long....
you have a University with a botany department in Miami....go visit them and ask one of the students if they want to flask your pod....start from there. It is always good to offer these to science and experimentation first and foremost.

Thanks Bud, I know this orchid is nothing special and available everywhere, but I know some people love to play with flasks, so thought instead of throwing is (as I did with my encyclia tampensis seedpods), I would offer it to someone. University is a good idea, will pass by and see:-)

I was thinking about spreading the seeds from the seedpod on the trees we have in our dog park by our building. I know chances are that they won't attach and grow, but you never know, Florida is hot and humid and it is rainy season till November. I wanted to ask anyone for any tips regarding this, maybe what is the best way to do it? It would be awesome to see some orchids grow wild on these trees:-)
