It is interesting to see the varying sizes of the seedlings. Some are much bigger and some are much smaller.

I wonder among those smaller ones might come out some wonder plants with larger flowers?? lol

I wish I had all the space in the world to try and bloom out tons and tons of seedlings. oh, well...

I had trouble keeping the sphag in the smaller pots moist so I have experimented by moving them into various size compots and bigger pots. The pots all hold more sphagnum so that helps a lot - with humidity too. Keeping humidity levels in the 50%s has been impossible these past few weeks and the seedlings have definitely suffered.

I also disposed of about 20 laggards - those with hardly any leaf or root growth. I had a remaining 25 or so in a tray and these are transplanted direct into compots. Hopefully the refreshed sphagnum is going to give them all a boost.

phals have been known to bloom within a year of deflasking. That would be in ideal conditions. I deflasked on 5 July 2013, maybe if I am lucky I will get a special Xmas present this year

Oh, I love that one too!
Cute little specks on the silvery background.

I am sooooo looking forward to seeing all the flowers on your baby phals.

I'm sure the growth will explode once the warm weather arrives.

Spotless to slightly spotty to spotted , it seems like I got 'em all

These are not a registered cross as yet - will do so when I get the first blooms.
