Pruning??
Default Pruning??

I am new to orchids. I have a Sharry Baby Onc, a 'Nite Naulege' Brassia and a Phalaenopsis.
Is it necessary to prune after all the blooms have fallen? Or at any point?
Thanks for the help.

You can cut the spikes off. I usually wait until they are dead, but they can be cut while still green.

Some Phals, and some others, can still bloom from green spikes (or grow keikis in them. The Sharry Baby and Brassia will not rebloom nor get keikis on the spikes.

For the Phals that can rebloom, it's personal preference on whether or not to cut them. Subsequent blooming on the old spike will likely be sparse.
