Over that I put heavy duty plastic wrap and stretched plastic wrap over the opening in the top for a window. I proceeded to cut two holes in one side and placed my working materials inside (the cleaned pods, scalpels, and alcohol sprayer along with the agar medium I created seven days prior) and covered the two holes with plenty of clear packing tape. Taking my trusty pocket knife I sliced an 'X' into each opening, about the size of a silver dollar. Then, wearing surgical gloves, I forced my hands into the openings and sprayed everything down with the isopropyl alcohol again, including my hands. I opened only one jar at a time and placed a pile of "seed" into each jar (about the size of a grain of corn). After that I sealed up the jars (mom's jam jars meant for canning, no less!!) and got out of the glove box. It looked very strange to mom and she thought I was doing another crazy chemistry experiment (got in trouble melting potassium nitrate and sugar earlier this year, but I digress). AHHH. Good times.
Yeah i just use one of those large 48L plastic tubs with the lid on, cut two holes out of the side and use it as a 'glove box' without the gloves. I wash the inside out with 10% bleach and water and its ready. For flasks i use orchid flasks i already bought from people but you could also use jars.

A question though, do you need to put in a hole for air exchange? Covered in micropore tape or whatnot?

I have read things about vented and unvented flasks one article said until the protocorms have the start of leaves it is not necessary for gas exchange . I really don't know but sounds good maybe replate to a vented flask ?
Also depending on the plants chromosome count certain plants when crossed will be sterile, or close to it ..... I have a headache Gin

I started with a cooler, with a plexi glass top and some gloves cut into the front. Then I decided to build this:Round 2..... It was amazing how easy the task became with the right working conditions. The last seed I flasked only took 25 days to germinate. You should give it a try, the worst you'll end up with is the same thing you started with.....the plant! Best case, you'll end up with a thousand of "the plant"!

Yes, but a thousand of "the plant" might take up all of "the room". Oh well, the car isn't too bad...
