That's awesome, I might be wrong but I believe it's because the mother was also growing one before you took the keikis off, while they were attached they shared the hormones so all three started spiking at once. I can't wait to see the pics of all the blooms

Lots of pictures to come, I have 3 different orchids currently in bloom and a 4th (very unexpected) just started a spike.

Default Nice Keikis!

Klondike4001:
Those are some really nice keikis - several species of orchids (epidendrum, dendrobium, phalaenopsis, etc.) throw keikis. They are basically little clones of the mother plant and some plants are more prone to throw them than others. You can buy keiki paste to induce this to occur, but remember, it is a strain on the mother plant until they are 'weaned' off the stem.
Good luck with the newbies -
Steve

Soak the roots well before you pot it. A friend of mine asked me to babysit 2 keikis joined together that she has in vase culture. We had a very sunny day and I accidentally burned it a little. I moved it to a north window in a cooler room and it responded by putting out a spike! With my reed stemmed epi, I leave the roots in water until they are a little longer, though i haven't tried that with phals.
