I have a seed pod (not ready yet) need help
I would love to try flasking at home and I've read lots of articles and the info in the thread 'Flasking Information'. It is all really good but I need very specific, exact instructions and pictures are always helpful. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Are there any good books or ebooks or articles about home orchid flasking?

AJ Hicks at the OSP has a great short book on the subject for hobbyists. I think he also has a more scientific one that is much more detailed (and expensive.)

I'll let you look it up (don't have time now), but Roby posted a very detailed thread about his flasking gas sterilization method, pics included.

Ok, I found this nice series of 3 videos on You Tube entited 'Orchid Flasking'. In it the guy describes how to flask orchids in poly prothelyne (or something like that) containers. They have a PP on the bottom not an LPDE or something. You also sterilize the media and let the containers cool inside a sterilzed bag. This seems easier than a pressure cooker. I think I know how to do everything including how to sterilize everything and mixing up bleach solutions. I just need to know what to use as a 'clean box', exactlly what media to get, and how to replate...
Also, what the heck are baby food jars and where can I find them?

baby jars - that's easy. Ask for them at your nearest day care or anyone with a baby. Its the jar that they use for baby food. Glass.
