Those are plenty big enough to survive. Plant in a compot of sphagnum and keep damp with very weak fertilizer solution. The first week you can cover with a plastic bag dome...but do not seal it and remove it for a few hours daily. Protect from both heat and cold and bright light. Maintain in Phal light and keep in the 70-75 degree F range. They will grow just fine. They probably could have stayed in flask longer but it is not necessary. Youbwere right to remove them when you saw fungus. No need to sterile, just rinse them under running water before compoting.
