yes sure you can use, I do.
Maximum time of exposure, 2 hours and 30 minutes.
But it is important to do this in glow box, to limit contamination

Why should it be done in a glove box if the fumes are still supposed to sterilize it?

I would assume its so that there is a minimum of microbes to get into the medium that have to killed with the fumes.

Exact, in the case of sowing 5 hours, enough to kill any contamination, but in these cases, 2.30 hours, may not be enough to kill any contamination.
More time, unfortunately damage to plants.

there has been contamination in a few of the "experimental ones"-the ones that i used tubberwear food storage containers. all of the jars have not contaminated hopefully they wont. no germination yet, i think its a bit too early for that
