How exciting -I can't wait!! I was thinking of doing this at some point in time so it will be interesting to see what kind of results you get. I am thinking about just sprinkling the seed onto the top of the medium of the mother plant's pot and seeing what happens. Good luck!

This method has been proven to work, but the most germination I have seen come from a pod was a little less than a dozen. Good luck, and do you have an idea of what cross your going to try?

No I have no idea yet, I would imagine though that it would be a slipper of some kind since I have many slipper orchids -paphs and phrags- so I shall have to let nature decide for me when one or two are in bloom. It's exciting and I really hope that your method proves to be successful.

I used the same method with Den. Purple Enobi 'Splash' that I selfed. After about a month I could see the protocorm's growing. It has been about 2 months now and they are still green little dots, but are slowly getting bigger. Out of the 4 flasks i sowed, only one got contaminated. I really think this is a great way to start flasking. Good luck in your progress and keep us informed.

Bob- Do you use the same method to replate them too?
Can you tell me where I could find the thread that you learned this technique from? Thank you!
