Default Cattleya x dendrobium

I have recently started to pollinate some of my orchids. I have this far been successful in getting pod formation with about 8 crosses. I am wondering, however, if anyone has had success with crossing dendrobium with cattleya.

That certainly fits my assumption. Thanks for the confirmation.

Default Dendrocatanthe

Did you ever get any results? I was reviewing Sander's List recently and came across a registered cross known as Dendrocatanthe. It's a cross between Cattleya x Dendrobium x Guarianthe. If it's a registered cross with the RHS, there's always a possibility. I haven't see a photo, but you usually have to register new hybrids with a photo.

Nine years or so later ..... looks like no results.

Dendrocatanthe or Dec. is indeed listed at LINK.

Orchidwiz has "Dendrocattleya" as an entry option (so it may have existed at one time) but no plants. So it must have been an error, any registration was removed. Genetically impossible.

Very odd. Earlier today I plugged in Dendrocatanthe (I think) into OrchidRoots and came up with a Cattleya guttata or granulosa x aurantiaca hybrid crossed with a Dendrobium hybrid (biggibum superbum hybrid iirc). Now I can't find anything on the genus search. Maybe they saw this thread and pulled it?

Whether it is written someplace or not, the genetics don't work. Somebody maybe thought that they did it (the plant probably selfed) but on closer examination, not gonna happen.
