Wow, they lasted a month after pollination? That's a while for an orchid although I did read that paphs keep their blooms longer after pollination than any other orchids known so far. I was very careful in moving the stigma up above the labellum and only used very very very light pressure to squeeze the sides of the lip and flip the stigma forward, but I was careful and slowly and gradually bent the lip, I didn't just squeeze it with one jerky motion, i used tweezers and very slowly and gently pried the sides of the lip open until the stigma just rose up against it and eventually slid its way up above the labellum. I am going to pollinate the stigma now with its own pollen and see how it goes. It should be very easy though as I can use a dental pick and just wipe the pollen under the stigma since it still faces back. I was only trying to give others tips for pollinating their own flowers and make it easy on them instead of having to look around for info about it elsewhere.
