Bitten by the hybridizer bug! Male
Default Bitten by the hybridizer bug!

Well, I knew it was coming, and I am getting the first symptoms of the hybridizer bug, breedeverythingiseeitis! I have always been interested in breeding orchids from the moment I started growing them, but now it is starting to roll! Right now I have four knocked up Phals. the first one is Phal. (ATL Crossing x NoID). I did this one as an experiment to see if I could get viable seed, and then also to practice flasking on it, so I don't ruin a real cross. The next one is Phal. (Penang Girl x Tying Shin?). I am STILL waiting for the full ID of my Tying Shin? from the vendor that was visiting my OS . This pod is developing very well, and I am excited to grow my very 'own' cross that I can name (hopefully)! The next is Phal. (Tying Shin? x ATL Crossing), this was done about a week ago, and the stigmatic cavity has closed, the pedicle? has become grooved, and the flower is wilting nicely. The last one is Phal. (Tying Shin? x self). Since I was going into withdrawals from not playing the role of the orchid hook-up artist, I decided to self my Phal. Tying Shin ? I also have my orchid society meeting coming up, so I hope there is one, or two, or several Phals that I can buy in flower, which will than all be promptly knocked up as their initiation to my household! Sorry for the slight longwindedness , and I thought I would end this with the fact that I will be posting pictures of the pods later, just because it is fun to torture you all, and it is like midnight, and I am extremely lazy right now! Well, I should probably shut up, but it is very so hard!

(P.S. Let's hope I don't have any abortions happen!)
