Default Seedpod for a beginner

I Like to buy seedpods but which one? I tried to get phal seed pods but they seem to be very difficult to buy.

I scrolled down the OSB but there are so many pods, I don't know were to begin.

Many the experts here onboard can help me out,

I have some prefferences:
- prefer seedpods easy to buy at OSB or somewere else
- I would like to grow indoors (18-22 dgr celcius).
- The mature plants should prefer moderate light.
- Also they should grow in bark.
- My humidity is 45-60%
- mature plants should not be to big <50cm
- lots of big flowers and blooming very long and often.

I think this is a bit much to ask for but hopefully someone can show me some directions what species to look for?

thanks in advance

I order from OSP fairly frequently. It can be a crap shoot sometimes but these two are the most recent that have germinated for me:

Bulbophyllum annandalei (3799)
Encyclia chacoensis (wild) (3270) (very good germ. in less than 2 weeks)

The bulbo in particular would seem to fit most of your preferences. I have some Guarianthe aurantiaca seed that I was going to send in and would be happy to forward some along to you but it likes high light, gets fairly big and only flowers once a year.

My tricks for navigating OSP are; look for others germination reports, always select the most recent seed (the accession numbers are in chronological order) and Google search anything you might be remotely interested in. OSP has a lot of interesting stuff that you may not have heard of.

Good Luck!

Phal seeds are short lived, that's why.
