Default phal seed pod

hi all,

My question is where can I get/buy a phal seed pod. I live in europe and it looks very difficult to get a seed pod.

I already have a couple of stem props growing (little leave stadium), hopefully have little keiki's in the next couple of weeks, bought phal flasks (they are growing very well 21 of the 21 still alive and growing) and pollinated 1 phal 2months ago (he or she is growing ok but I think it will take another 2 to 6 months). I can't/will not wait that long.

You will probably have to make your own. If someone has a seed pod, its because they are making a cross they want. I've never heard of anyone making a seed pod to sell.

Good luck!

It would probably be easier and cheaper to go and buy a plant in flower and hand pollinate it. If you need help doing that I know of many Youtube videos that would help.

One source for dry seed is the OSP (orchid seedbank project) in the USA. As long as you are not ordering seed from CITES appendix I orchids, then there are no problems. They only do species seed, so if you're after hybrids, that's not the place to go. Aaron Hicks is a pleasure to deal with, I order all my flasking media there.

Keep an eye on OB as well, sometimes people offer pods when they have too many. I got some pods in january from an OB member in Florida.
