Default Are these pods still ok?

Hello, I was wondering if these seed pods still look ok. The pods are nearing 6 months and have gone dark at both ends. Its an oncidium cross between a milt. and a vuyl. I'm assuming its getting time to sow soon if i want to green pod them.

I've never done it and after doing the research don't think I have the time, energy, and money to invest in this at the moment and was considering using a propagation lab. Anyone have experience with prop. labs? Can you suggest a good one?

Do you ever check your plants for mites?

I'm not sure if it's worth the effort the pods don't look very filled to me. This could be a fertillity or pollination issue. There could be less seeds then expected.
