Dendrobium Yellow Song 'Canary' Keiki Problem

This is my first post!

I was given this Den when it was almost done flowering. I had it for a few days before the last few flowers began wilting, so i clipped them off. This caused keikis to form. I have only ever had this happen once before one a different den.
The problem with this one is the mother plant id dying.
The were three stalks.one has only one keiki bump that hasn't really changed much in the last few months.
The second had three on it, but suddenly shriveled up and all the keikis rotted over night and turned to mush.
The third stalk was fine until today when it suddenly bent over (black arrows) which makes me worry about the final few keikis (red arrows) that are on it. I really want them to live!
None of them have roots except one that has one small maybe 3/4 inch root
And lastly i am worried about the baby that grew right off the base of the plant (blue arrow) It seems super healthy other than the leaves being kinda curled up
i water this orchid the same as i water my other 12 types of orchids

I'm not sure I can help much, but I think the one at the base is probably a new cane on the parent rather than a keiki. Dendrobiums should regularly put out new canes from the base like this.

I think the larger of the keikis may have a chance. Is the cane they are on soft/rotting? If so I would try and remove those keikis even though they have no roots. If the rot spreads up to them then they may also rot, so removing them is the best thing. They may not make it but they may

I would remove the canes that are rotting (if that is what they are doing) and hope the good canes and the new canes can take over from the mother plant.

I'm afraid I have no idea what may have caused this and what you can do to avoid it happening

Welcome to the Orchid Board! What is this potted in, it looks like too much water to me.. Dens should be a bark mix and a lot of times they are packed in moss which holds too much water. If the canes are soft, cut them off, and hold back watering. My inside Dens get water once a week and are in small pots. The canes store water. Keikis should have roots about three inches long before removing. Try to leave it on Mother plant and mist the roots if you can....

Yes, the one at the base is a new cane.
I think my only choice is to remove the keikis before they die like the others did.
should i try to keep some cane on them?
Should i dip them in rooting powder? or i have also eard of a gel they can sit in until the grow roots.
The mother plant is in medium bark, as are my other dens. It has been fine for months but i think the weather here may have changed too much to uickly (average 68 to being average 101 degrees for a few days)
I don't have an AC in my house so the rise in temp may have shocked it.
The mane canes are dead, now i just need to know how to rescue the kiekis and lets hope the baby plant on the base doesn't die.

Rooting powder is usually too strong for Orchids and can actually inhibit roots instead of incouraging them.

KLN is a rooting stimulant that gets used a lot by folks on OB. It's difficult to get here in the UK but I think is more common in the USA.

i had used rooting powder, but washed it off after a week because i was afraid it was too strong. I live in a tough area to find things but i will look around, by the time i order anything it will be too late.

Ok, BIG PROBLEM
The most healthy and matured keiki is now dead, the stalk has rotted up to it and the bottom half of the keiki turned to mush in the last 12 hours.
SO, now to try to save the other one which i already cut off even though it may be too late. This is the one one out of 8 keikis that has a root
WHAT DO I DO????????
i am panicing!

BTW the keiki shown is about 5 inches from end to end.
The others that are still connected to the mother plant are only about an inch or two tall, i'm guessing they are hopeless

Well the fact it has any root at all is a good thing.

While it's not potted or anything I would spray that root with water every day to help keep the keiki hydratated. I would expect the root to dry out between each time you spray it if it was in my humidity, if not you might need to me careful and not spray so often.

I would try and get hold of KLN or Superthrive to add to the water. I would probably get the tinyest tinyest pot you can find and pot it with a little fine bark. It might do OK in fresh moss if it is in a teeny tiny pot that can dry quickly enough. I have some tiny 2" pots that do well for this sort of thing.

A small food container that you can make holes in if you can't get a small enough pot.
