Default Hormone paste?

Hi, I've seen mentioned quite a bit 'hormone paste' and 'keiki paste' that it seems you put on the nodes of Phals to make them produce keiki's? I live in Western Australia and I've never heard of this. Any ideas where I can get it from? Would somewhere like Bunnings Warehouse have it, it's something like your Home Depot I think? If I can't get it here can I buy it on eBay? I've had a look on there but I don't know what to search under. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Marion

I think one of them is called 'Keiki Pro' but I'm afraid I've no idea where you can get it in Australia.

You might want to contact a local orchid nursery there that carries Phalaenopsis. They might know. They should have at least heard of it.

Hi Marion,

Several years ago I purchased Keikigrow from a Company in Australia called Flora Laboratories located in Victoria, not sure if they are in business any longer but worth a call or email.

Their website:

Telephone # (03)9584-2087
Email: andre@alphalink.com.au

Good Luck!

Hi, Thanks all.

I found KeikiPro on eBay US and have ordered and paid for 15ml bottle. It cost $AU33 including postage which is not too bad. Can't wait for it to arrive now! LOL

Rosie, Hi from Brisbane. Western Orchids in S.A. sell for $8.80 + $1.50 postage. Sorry, just read your post now (21/4). Could have saved you a bit of money. Anyhow, I have used the paste and have some keikis growing on 2 Phals. Wee little things, have been growing for 4 weeks now.
