With that kind of determination, you're bound to succeed!

Oh, and I'm in no position to call anybody crazy.

Well, at least on the human end of things, this isn't that far fetched of an idea, with the recent new work coming out regarding inducible stem cells.

Then again, this is the product of research coming from hundreds of labs, working with millions of dollars of grant money for over half a decade. I'm just sayin

Florida guy.

I've been looking at this thread with curiosity & some amusement. I have to agree with much of what Royal has said concerning cloning protocol.

I know there has been tremendous progress in cloning technology in recent years, with millions upon millions spent in R&D in research labs. This technology has certainly far surpassed our own modest lab, even though we were one of the early commercial service labs more than 30 years ago.

Royal suggests that you need to become more familiar with established laboratory & tissue culture protocol before you delve into such exotic new techniques (which are even beyond the realm of current R&D). In effect, learn to walk before you try to fly.

But if you are determined to try to fly, I have one suggestion which might help you. Your plant list of cloning candidates are all species. We have cloned thousands of plants in small & large quantities. Some plants are very easy & some are very difficult. It is common knowledge (and also our own experience) that, in general, most species are much more difficult to clone than many types of hybrids.

To lessen your variables, I suggest that you concentrate on the more easily clonable hybrids. Then you can more easily see whether your lack of success is due to the unexplored processes you are following, rather than the inherent difficulty in cloning many species.
