Hi Calvin

I can do both. I will post pics of the two types of tubes I have. The larger tubes that can take a little media are not large and I had protocorms in them sent from Australia.

The microfuge tubes may be a little too small for media.

EMS take 5 days roughtly to get to you in Canada.

I know what you mean about pointless laws and bureacuracy. We have some pretty silly laws in Australia where I am from too. I understand the laws applying to plants, but the extreme fees and measures applied to flasks are just silly. I will PM you when I have more of and idea what I can do regarding types of tubes, shipping, etc. The protocorms are quite happy now in the wardian case and healthy

Hi to anyone who wanted the protocorms

I have been flat out with work and could not get a reputable lab willing to make tubes of the protocorms up for me.

Luckily I am on holidays in a week and have time to spend half a day with the laminar flow, then a day at Phyto office the next day. I will PM you in afew days about the tubes to see if you want them still or you can PM me. I wont ask a lot, just cover flask price equal split and post. This is not a profit thing. I just have way more than I need and hate to waste very good stock. Perhaps people can share seed with me for the effort.

I think it best to put some agar in the tube before autoclaving, but not a huge amount. Just enough to hold moisture and some nutrient for plants. Mind you, when I was getting protocorms from Australia, they arrived in the same manner, but loose from the media and alive and happy after a week.

Certs are cheap here too.. US$3 for a phyto cert.

I hope the mods are ok with this. This is not a profit thing.

Brett

Yes, I am going to do them and split the protocorms into tubes for those people who want them. My delay has been getting media sent from the USA. I have that now after finding a supplier willing to use USPS and not a courier.

I got some plastic flasks locally from a friend, but they turned out to not seal well and were useless. So now I am trying to get some glass flasks locally.

I have the 50 mil tubes from a lab ready for the protocorms though and have a little agar in them ready to go. I will post pics soon. I hope to go ahead with everything late this July.

The protocorms look good. Not moving too fast as I keep my flasks at 23c

I am finally getting ready after hassles trying to source good flasks and tubes to break the mother flasks and send out the excess protocorms to anyone who wants to buy some. PM me if you are interested and I will send an email with details of costs.

And its ready to go.. Here are the 50ml tubes for shipping, and my flasks that have been sitting for two weeks ready for the protocorms.
