I had a Den. Salaya ministripe years ago, and really enjoyed it. It bloomed very reliably and well. But, alas, was one of the ones lost to scale when I neglected the plants during graduate school.
I have a large kingianum hybrid that I've had for about 10 years. Very care-free, for the most part. LOTS of light, good water and a fertilizer not too high in nitrogen (don't know if it's true of all dendrobiums, but kingianum, at least, seems to make a lot of keikis and fewer blooms if you give it a lot of nitrogen).
I've repotted keikis off the adult kingianum several times, and they'll all usually make some new growth and put up at least one spike within a year.
