Default Where can I find some kei-kei hormone

I have a NOID phal with crown rot. It also has a flower spike that has been there for about a year (growing new flowers). It hasn't produced a basal kei-kei or a kei-kei from the flower spike.

I thought I read a post where there's a kei-kei hormone you can apply directly to the flower spike to initiate kei-keis. Did I dream this? I did a forum search and can't find any info.

Can anyone identify any such product, and if so where I can get some? I know there is no store around where I live that sells such a product, so a web link would be helpful so I can order some.

Thanks, guys!!

LOL I see that Jackie, thank god were both on the ball today LOL!!
BTW - Jackie have you try this? if so any success?

Oh Ethan, you should look into gettting some, this could be very fun and most importainly rewarding as you can get new lil orchids for free

I was lucky enough to pick some up at the local greenhouse in early Jan. I started pasting a couple of almost spent spikes - within 5 days alot of swelling started. It's only been a couple of weeks now, I believe I have a few keikis already starting

Default What about the crown rot?

If there's a way to save a plant from crown rot, I'd think one would want to focus on healing that instead of forcing an additional drain upon the plant's resources. And if there's not a cure for crown rot, I wouldn't expect a keiki to develop enough to survive the parent.

What do others think?

I think Keiki Pro is rather expensive. The keikis aren't free at all! Concentrate on saving your phal is my advice. You can also buy Keiki Pro direct from the company. They advertise on the Orchid Board. If I remember right it is KeikiPro No guarantees that I remember right. Carol

I was just browsing and found something called "Keikigrow Plus" here:

Tindara's Orchid Growing Supplies, Gardening Supplies

Just scroll down a little and it's there.
fyi,
