keiki on fal - when do I cut it?

Know keikis on dendrobriums but roots on fals are different--when can I remove it to start another?

you need to wait till the roots are large enuf to sustain the keiki plant...

Thanks for your response. My fal keiki has 4 leaves and two roots/roots are about 1/2 inch and the largest leaf is about 2 inches. How long should the 2 roots be before I cut?

I cut my Phal babies off when they have 1/2-1" roots on them.
So you should be safe now. As mine have been fine.

I have read a few times that the roots on a kei kei should be 1-2'' long before separating. However, every plant is different. I recently separated a phal kei kei with about 1'' roots and it is doing fine. If you're in doubt, it won't do any harm to wait.
