Yes, all my epiphytic flasks. For every liter of media, I add 1 jar of Gerber banana baby food #2, a little coconut milk (amount depends on how much you want them to proliferate....I usually use about 10-15 ml.), and 3-4 drops of K-L-N.

Jasen,
Thanks for sharing your 'SECRET FORMULA'. Now we can all start growing our own Gogzilla plants.
Seriously I would love to know how these turn out. Do you have photos of (flhiker) Dave's parent plant??

Jasen,

very much for sharing your recipe, it's appreciated. I'll try a batch myself when I finally get everything together. The new motor for my flow hood should be in by next week. After that it's just a few more minor pieces of equipment...and I'll be ready when my pods are ready!

FLhiker (Dave) posted a picture of the bloom in his gallery. I flasked one of the pods also and one of the four replates I made has one plant in spike also. I sent Dave and Becca their flasks (the largest of the four) over the last few weeks have two small ones left. I am using Phytotech 668 adding banana and potato to the replate. There are two pictures of the flasks in my gallery, one is the group of four flasks and one is of the flask with the spiking plant taken a month ago

No, but he might have a pic. I'll have to ask him next time we talk.

Hey Dave (dgenovese1), if you are building your box, I have a suggestion for you....especially if it's going to have a fan. No matter how good you think it's sealed, it is a good idea to run a piece of 2" masking tape around any doors/lids where air might have a chance to get in. You'll save yourself a lot of frustration.

Thanks for the tip Jasen...it's definitely appreciated.

By the way, do you use a scale (triple beam) to measure out your dry medium before mixing it, or do you just use a measuring cup? I am in the process of getting my order into Phyto Tech, and wasn't sure if I needed a scale or not. They sell them for $177, and if I don't need to have one, it's an expense I'd rather do without.

You only need a scale if you don't plan on mixing the whole liter of media. I just microwave a measuring cup of distilled water (1 liter) to a rolling boil, add all ingredients, mix, PH, and sterilize. I mix the whole liter, and simply store the flasks. That way, they're always ready....in case I need to flask a seed. You can store them for quite a while, this also allows time to make sure there is no contamination in the flasks. If you really need a scale, your local head shop (smoke shop) should carry digitals for like $40-$50.

That makes great sense to me...plus it's money saving! Thanks again Jasen.
