Most commercially produced rooting hormones contain IBA or indole-3 butyric acid, a naturally produced auxin which stimulates cell division and in most cases root development. As far as generating keikis, rooting hormone may not be the best choice. I think there are some solutions available with a more complete set of hormones (IAA, gibberellins, etc), as well as nutrients, to facilitate the generation of keiki's. Also, it probably would stimulate rooting to some degree on the pseudobulbs, but the concentrations used in rooting hormone solutions are WAY high, and i'm not sure if extra roots on old p'bulbs is necessary. More than likely, if your plant is able to support healthy keiki's, and in good health, with proper conditions, it will put some out itself. I'm interested to look further into this, for node propagation.
Good question!
