Propagation for phals

This year i Wanted to try growing Phaelenopsis from seed, Really to study the way in witch the seed germinates and how the plant developes from seed to adult and the variables that influence growth and survival rates and publish it in a lab report.
i kinda have an idea to start with polination and mediums and flasking and de flasking but can any of you
(with your vast orchid knowledge that i don't have) tellme what exactly a seed needs to develop?
