Question Divide this Miltonopsis?

How do I divide this orchid? Or should I even do so? There's practically no potting material left in the pot. It just finished flowering so I figured now would be the best time to divide or repot it. I was also thinking of mounting it or a part of it. Opinions?

Have you ever considered s/h for this species? I have a couple and they love the s/h environment.

I agree. Repot - yes, divide - no.

I would repot it. It is ready. I have one in coconut husk, and three in sphagnum moss. They are all thriving. Oh, SH is hydroponic, growing in water with nutrients. Haven't tried that.

With the questions you are asking and with the stage of this plant I would not recommend S/H at all. I would simply repot up to a larger size pot. I would tweeze apart all the old bark that will come off without tearing roots apart. I would reset the plant in a new, large pot, such that the growing point is furthest from the edge of the pot. Dump in the bark mix and water away. That's what I would do! Guess I'd also water with a strong mix of KLN, but that's just me!
