Default call the orchid docs with a knife

A few months ago, I told you about having 4 keiki on my plant...
I have leaves and roots... so now what

what is the best way on setting the best step

on the stem I have 2 of them
one has 2x 1/2 cm roots
the other one has 2x 1 cm roots

about the middle of the plant I have one with a 2 1/2 cm root and 1 cm root

and the last keiki is on the bottom of the plant with a 1 cm and 2 1/2 cm root

I include some pictures with some ugly marks on ( did this on a computer without Photoshop.

Any help will help. I do think I need to wait a bit longer to get larger roots, but knowing now what to do will help ( possible getting tools )

see pictures in my gallery

Thanks
Peter

I looked at the pictures, I think the roots need to be much longer than that. The general rule of thumb is a total of 4 inches(10cm) of root per keiki, so yours can stay on the plant some time more.
As for cutting them off, what I do is cut the spike slightly above and below the keiki. The keiki would still have a small piece of spike on it. Then I sprinle some cinnamon on the cuts and pot up the keikis. I'm not quite sure how you would deal with those 2 keikis right next to each other.

I wouldn't touch the Keikis until you have a minimum of three roots. Some say five roots and at least 3-4 inches long. Doesn't mean you can't try, but your likelihood of success increases the more roots and the longer they are before you cut off the babies.

I agree with Camille that you need to wait longer. All these on the same plant? Wow...so many keikis. As far as the one that has two together, I would plant together or take a razor and split the spike in half and plant separately. I did that on one Phal. that I had and worked out fine, tho they did have longer roots than yours.
