Does anyone have any experience and feedback on whether Plant Cell Technology's " Plant Preservative Mixture " really works? PPM as it is called is suppose to lower the chances of winding up with a contaminated culture flask.

I ordered a sample bottle 5 years ago from them but never got around to actually using it...not sure if they still do this, but they offered these sample bottles for free, and you can try to see if it does anything for you

I've not used it, but I hear very good things about it. There has been a lot of discussion recently over the tissue culture listserv. Originally designed for tissue culture, it's known to really help with germinating seed containing endogenous contamination. At three US dollars per ml it better be good.

I use it all the time as part of steriliation of seed. I think you would have to watch how much you use.
I soak my seed in it after a have already used another steriliation process. I have never used it in the media.
Haven't had a problem with it
