Cool seedling growing mediums

I am interested in deflasking some seedlings and in my studies of others I came across the growing medium called "mud". Several mentioned the benifits of this medium and how it helps grow seedlings very fast --- I'd like to hear your methods and experience in this area of orchid culture JD

"mud" I have never heard that term used before when talking about orchid medium.

When I deflask seedlings from flask I use two mediums depending on the species. Either straight moss or a fine bark mix with perlite and charcoal added.

Great article. I'm now thinking of what I can experiment with. Apparently not Paphs.
