IS there anyone that knows where i can get a home flasking kit for first timers or how to build my own so i can flask my own stuff .Because i'm about to do some of my own crosses and some selfings. how hard is flasking in a home and maybe some info. thanks
You can grow orchids from seed in your kitchen with no special chambers or such. I use the cornstarch method and use wide-mouthed juice bottles (Gatorade, etc) for flasks. Even here in Panama' it's easy and very cheap.
Of course, you can just spread the seed on a limb with a little moss on it here and a couple will usually grow.
Phytotech Labs sells 'kits' but with at little research you can avoid purchasing lots of equipment. Pre-made, "just add water" media is cheap (on a small scale) and available from several sources in the US.
As mentioned above, you can do this at home with no specialized equipment. Technique and procedure are very important, however, so do your research and you'll be fine.
