Light Systems

Hey everyone. What are your thoughts about grow lights? What wattage, brands, setup, hours of light, etc. I have several orchids and a couple more on the way in the mail and in the fall will be moving into a little apartment in Central PA, where it is pretty cold in the winter. I have enough room to set up some lights and one decent sized window that lets in a decent amount of light. Thoughts?

My first thought is to check out http://www.orchidboard.com/community...-under-lights/ where there are lots of threads just just this one. In short, your budget determines (to some degree) the best choice. I have to say t5 florescents are the best choice based on light output per watt expended. High intensity bulbs may put out more lumens, but consume more electric as well.
