Talking # 5 is in the box!!

ok,, well i guess on #5,, i will answer my peeps , i posted a question and know one answerd me for a few days,, i figured everyone was offended by my favorite quote -He who smelt it delt it by -unknown,,,, so i changed it for everyone, hope you guys like the new quote,, i dont know, i just keep giggling everytime i see it , im imature for my age,, and i was brought up bad, u see, well anyways thank you all for getting with me,, i really like you guys,, i gotta get a better quote though,, im trying to find a real smart one, i like the Albert Eienstien quotes but i gotta look em up to find a good one, give me a bit, well anyway i guess since my flask didnt make it here in the mail yet "it musta not went out last week, Thank you God, my big question is,, i have two types of compot containers, one had strawberries in it, its clear it has airslats in the sides, and some other airholes for circulation in the sides, then my other choice for compot container is, a pie container, it has a black plastic bottom, an alluminum pan sits down inside it, and it has a clear top with no airholes at all, i guess it seals & locks down for pie freshness, those are my two choices, which one do you all think would be best for my deflasked Encyclia "why not xcross with a purple lip, i forget the whole name of it,, but i got the flask from a guy who goes by Ruben in orchids, on ebay- some of you sugjested him, this is my first batch ive deflasked ,this is childs play to some of you but im lost,, does a compot need air circulation, or does it need to be sealed? also, i figured id use spagum moss as a substrate in the compot, also, is the compot best left under a small flouresent light, or in the shade, or partial sunlight, do airtemps need to be not too hot or warm? i know the humidity should probably be high? i only have my regular Better-Gro formulas fertalizers one is 11-35-15 the other is 20-14-13 i was going to delute this and use it for waterings but im not sure if i should just skip the fertalizer and use just rainwater, or should i get somthing else? as you can see im pretty blind as to whats going on here , i hope that someone has time to answer me in the next few days or we will have question number 7 with "all dead" posted ,,thanks to you all who are good people for helping me, and for having a sense of humor, i love orchids and the new freinds ive made here, i was in a motercycle accident last year and i cant walk, yet, but working on it and im having a bunch of surgerys here, pain sucks!! maybe someday i will be back at the railroad guiding the iron again, with my hand on the Brass handle, (the throttle)until then if i seem strange its probably the (opioids) pain meds, sorry,, thanks for putting up with me....my freinds!! your freind Craig Wells

I just received two compots I bought on eBay, one with 4 Phal. Stuartiana seedlings and one with 18-20 Phal. Amabilis seedlings. I also need advice on caring for these compots. I started a thread titled "How to Care For Orchid Compot?" in the Beginner Discussion Forum. Should I buy a compot container with a lid for them? One is potted in an aircone plastic pot (about 2.5") and the other is in a 4" green plastic pot that the seller cut to make it shorter.

I guess we can combine the advice we get
with your orchids!!

Orchids ARE relaxing! I have my orchids on a shelf in my bedroom. It's great waking up in the morning and the first thing you see are orchids. I've been having a rough time at work, dealing with lots of stress, so seeing all my orchids motivates me to get up and ready every day.

Talking

Hello i know what you mean they are very stress free, its cool to gaze at them they seem to have a zen like effect on me too, my flask still didnt get here yet though, maybe tommorow? i hope your plants are doin good, ive been reading up on flasking at phytotechlab.com,, they sell orchid flasking matierials, if you go to there site, click on one of the kits, they have 2 kinds, both give instructions for the correct way to flask, what chemicals to use and when and how much, its valuable info, it will take you into a higher understanding of what it takes to flask these litlle buggers, its pretty interesting check it out make sure you click on the technical info download after your on the page showing the kits, you will like it. it is a little complicated though, id almost rather buy a ripe flask like we did, were both in this for loss of stress right its cool to know what all these orchid pros are sayin when there speaking in Orchid tounges well i will talk to you soon my new freind.
