Sure, I was never making the assumption that breeding two different Neo varieties means you'll get a desirable yield of something like 50% or whatever with unique traits from both parents.
But if you look at the amount of Neo varieties that have multiple or mutated nectar spurs compared to something like
sumi or
rasha, there's definitely more. I've seen far more pricey varieties that are
sumi than multiple or mutated nectar spurs, and
sumi isn't even a type of variegation because it's on the surface of the leaf and not from a lack of developing chloroplasts in the leaves, it's probably a safe educated guess that nectar spur mutations are easier to breed for. More broadly, flower mutations in general might be easier to breed for.
Again, I could be entirely wrong, but based on what we can see in the market, it might be a safe guess.
