Default IS this a seed pod forming

Good evening all,

I have been trying to do this for about a year now Just playing around. without any success until now, I think. I am wondering if the top left flower in the pic attached is a forming seed pod? Its the only flower with a green stem. Its a plant I just got a few weeks ago and I am not sure if I am going to try to grow this out or abort it and repot after flowering, but I should wait anyways. The way I see it is it probably will be ripe around mid June, so that would also be a good time to repot. I have another intergeneric and it grew roots like crazy around july ish until september. Still debating but I am of excited since it has never taken for me before. Also oncidiums flowers dont wilt away after a day or 2 after taking the antler cap off, unlike Phals, from what I am seeing.

So am I getting excited for nothing or does this look like it took?

Looks like one but I was scratching my head as to why the flower was still alive. I'm not a big Oncidium guy so maybe that's why I wouldn't have known the flower can persevere.

My Catts go by within a couple days.

Congrats Papa!

Looks to be. About a week or so after pollination? My oncidium held its petals for some time after pollination and capsule development and then started to dry but never lost their color. These are about a month and 2 months after pollination, respectively.

This was a couple years back. It’s an oncidium/odontoglossum and took 8 months to reach maturity. If yours isn’t an Oncidium species, it may take longer than 120.

The flowers just started to wilt away. Pod is still green and gotten a tinie wienie bit fatter. I guess it is just a game of patience at this point.

Just harvested pod today plan on sowing tomorrow. I don't plan on it to go well but a learning experience for next time. I also have a question that this is forming on a new growth, no pseudobulb yet but sizable growth. This plant has cranked out 4 new growths while it was producing pod and wondering if it could be a flower spike. Kind of big for that.

I truely dont believe in not allowing your plant to flower, produce spike just to conserve energy. I believe that it wouldn't produce them unless they are healthy enough to. I have seen this in trying to pollinate many orchids, some which aren't doing all that well, did not even get pollinated. There is no stop to this plant, any help ID'ing that fat bump that looks like old p bulb will be appreciated.
