Just wanted to show you a picture a wild Epidendrum Nocturnum I found in the Fakahatchee Strand. Mother Nature's Way! That place is so cool.

This picture was taken in a state preserve so no you are not allowed to take anything but pictures. But I have to admit that it couldn't hurt to collect a few Epidendrum seed pods because there are literally millions of them though out the Strand. And no I have not taken any from the strand but I have a friend that has a cabin on his property in a different section of the glades and he has given me a couple nocturnm and Tempensis seed pods.

That is really cool. Lately I've been tying to focus my collection more on species native to the US and North and Central America. Sometimes it is tough getting seed from local native populations, especially if they are protected. The protected ones need propagation the most!

There is just something about seeing a plant in situ. Keep posting those pics!

If you want tampensis seed pods let me know. I get them every year and clip them off.

Thanks Ross I have all I need at the moment unless you have the alba variety.Are any of your tampensis spiking yet?
