Naturally Formed Phal Keiki Not Growing Roots

Hello,
I have a 4month old naturally formed (no paste) pal. keiki that has had 2 large leaves (3 in) all this time, but still has absolutely no roots. My understanding is that I should keep it on the stem until it has a couple of decent roots.
Is there something I can do to stimulate it to get to work on those roots? (Mama plant is very healthy...)

First, Welcome!

Yes, you should not try to separate the keiki from the mother plant until it has well-developed roots, or it can't survive. Orchids don't absorb any significant amount of moisture or nutrition from leaves... they have evolved to be great "water conservers" So with no roots, the plantlet would have no way to hydrate itself. Patience, patience. As long as that old flower spike is green, it's sustaining the keiki. Eventually it will probably (but no guarantee) develop roots. Remember, orchids don't do anything fast. Progress is measured in months, not weeks or days.
