Help with my first Keiki Male
Default Help with my first Keiki

Hello all

I have a new Keiki on one of my Phal's and as this is a first for me i'm unsure what to do with it, hence I have a few questions for all the knowledgable members here.......

1,How long do I leave it before cutting it off?

2, How to cut it off?

3, Is there any special medium I should use to get it going once it's been taken off the stem?

Pics attached.

Thank you in advance.

It's too small. Let it get 2-3 good sized leaves and more roots the size of the biggest one. Just cut it off with a sterile razor blade or hobby knife. Pot it into your favorite Phal potting mix and treat it like your other Phals.

There is a small chance your hand will be forced if the stem dries up after the flowers fall. In this case pot it up as above. Otherwise I would wait for more growth.
