I've heard of keikis but I don't know if I've got them on my Epiphronitis Veitchii, or not (I'm newish with orchids). All I've had before are a couple of Phals that have not had keikis. I just got this Epiphronitis last weekend.
It looks to me like the tip of the stem that has each keiki (there are two) has been cut off, and so the plant has branched out, like a branch on a tree except this branch is putting out roots. (maybe it was a flower stalk?).
Q1: Keikis? Yes or no?
Q2: Since the growing tip has been cut off, will the whole stem wither away eventually?
Q3: We're just coming into autumn weather - temperatures about 12 celsius at night and 20 in the day - so is this plant going to go into hibernation and if so should I leave the keikis for next spring or do something with them now?
