I wanted to see if could successfully pollenate my Zygoneria Adelaide Meadows and I did. Now I must learn
what I am do to next.

The first and second pics are of the two flowers I pollenated just in case one didn't work. The third pic is of the same plant when it had all its buds.

So today I have sad news today... for some reason my pollinated flowers turned yellow and fell off. The other flowers that were on the plant when I pollinated the plant didn't turn yellow before falling off... I don't know what I did wrong

just may not have taken. typically when you pollinate...(from the few that I have)... the flower dries up and stays on as the ovary swells and forms a seed pod. depending on the plant and the cross you may have to wait up to 300 days for the pod to mature. at that point I would have someone flask it for you at a lab. there are lots of places that provide this service and there may be a few members of your local society that do it. check it out. here is a pic of a seed pod on my cochleanthes amazing that i crossed with a zygopalesum. it was pollinated a little over a month ago.
