Looking for Orchid Seeds/Pods
Hello, this is my first time posting on this forum, so please go easy on my if I am posting this in the wrong place. I am extremely interested in growing orchids from seed. I’ve made a glove box, bought the media, and practiced pressure cooking the flasks to make sure they are sterile. The only thing I can’t seem to get is seed! I’ve been trying for months to pollinate my own orchids with no success. Does anyone who pollinates orchids have any extra pods they’d be willing to sell? At this point I’m not really picky about genera.
Thank you,
Joseph

I have a good number of seed pods coming along (Cattleya & Cymbidium). The majority I will send to my normal flasker, but if I end up with more than I can manage, I might have a few left over towards the end of the season (early to mid summer).

That would be amazing! If you have even one extra pod I would be grateful! Would you be ok with me sending you a message around that time?
Thank you!
Joseph

Since many pollinations fail to produce pods, I always start more than I intend to flask. However, it is still too early in the season to determine which ones I will 'de-select'.
I will remember your interest, so when the time comes I will contact you.
BTW, where in NJ are you located? My greenhouse is in Hillsborough (near Flemington) in case you would like to visit.

I will be there tomorrow, from abt 9:30 am till at least 4 pm. Saturday I expect a number of visitors/customers, so take your chances.
