I ditch unused pollinia after a year, but depending on the plant, they might be viable longer than that.
Trying again with the same orchids may just work next time.

Oh I already store pollinia in the fridge, that has always been fine. It’s just more that these individuals accepted each others pollination, and began to show outward signs of initiation of producing seed, then within a couple days began to yellow and eventually dried.
I’d also happily try again, but am in a situation now where only one plant is going to be in bloom and I dont want to self, so I would need pollinia to come from somewhere else.
