Default Seed Pods

I've been trying my hand at some pollinating. Ive bought flasks in the past and had some good luck with them and now I'd like to start my own. I crossed a Zygopalsum with a Cochleanthes and a Galeopetalum witn a Keferbollea. What I can't seem to find is seed pod maturation dates. Anyone have any ideas? The closest Ive found is 300 days for the cochleanthes cross. Anyone have any experience with these guys?

Lotte & Thomas Orchids

Here is a link that Dorothy put on another thread (Free Seed Pods). I don't know about these specific varieties, but It's a start.

EDIT: I don't think that's the link I was thinking of. Chek the other thread and look at Dorothy's posts for a link titled ORCHID SEED. That's the big list.

Thanks guys. Well using the info on your site Dorothy and if i take an average between the species that make up the hybrids (hope that makes sense) then its about 250 days for the first one I did and 225 for the second. So somewhere around mid Nov. Whats the worst that happens... I have to try again

We did extensive tests at Chadam with ripening times. Even within a species there is some variation. For the most successful time, 9% before natural dehiscence is good because the germination rate is highest and the seeds can be green-podded or saved and sterilized before sowing as much as a year after taking the capsule.
There is a full description in the book, but I don't have a copy here. It's in my place in Bocas del Toro, and I'm in Puerto Armuelles - the other side of Panama'.
