Hey guys! Ok- so I have attempted an unusual cross. The father is a psychopsis hybrid and the mother is an oncidium sphacelatum. This cross is technically possible, but a stretch. The pod has developed nicely, however, it started to yellow at 210 days. Everything looks good and healthy, I am just curious if anyone on here has had a pod take that long to mature.
Also- anyone have any weird crosses that you are proud of?!
I would love to see them!

At 7 months, it should be 'ripe' for harvesting.

In view of 'stretch', pod might not have viable seed.

I agree with Kim's assessment that there may be no viable seed.

There are no registered psychopsis x oncidium hybrids to date...
