self pollenators?
Default self pollenators?

I have noticed that a staggering number of my ground orchids are pollenated and going to seed.

I would estimate that 50 % of the plants have at least one pollenated flower and that of those plants, most have more than one pollenated..pics below.

now this is the kind of pollination rate i expect from any plant that is around it's natural pollenators but it seemed crazy high for an orchid....is it possible they are self sexing?

Spathoglottis plicata is definitely known to self pollinate. It's pretty invasive in the tropics, actually, so this is probably one of the reasons why.

I’d say so. This is like an orchid orgy
