Weird tri-lipped form of Miltonia clowesii

Tri-lipped forms are always strange. In this case, the lip is repeated in the lateral petals to a certain degree making this a very different flower. The second photo was taken with it side by side with the type for a better assessment of the mutation.

Would that be considered a partial peloric? :hmm

Wow, I saw weird and Rosim in the same post and had to bypass all else for a "look-see!" :)
Very interesting lip. I like it. kiki

That's a peloric variation I haven't seen. Interesting, and worth breeding with........

.:Tup:Yes, Dorothy, it is a peloric form and you can perfectly say it is partial because the repetition does not design perfect lips

Tried selfing it two times and cross it with four or five different Oncidium species without success, Phantasm. I am trying (again) to cross it with Oncidium johnesianum because of its beautiful white lips that I would love seeing repeated in the petals... Let's see!
