noid phals
 

here are two noid phals i've had for a while..sure would like an id as i'm trying to catalog all my orchids in a spread
sheet if possible...i'm a nerd

Without documentation from the grower, your plants will remain beautiful NOIDs. There are so many different phals that look like one another, it is not possible to identify one from a photo, or even by just looking at it. You can give them your own name for spreadsheet purposes, but many are not even named by the growers.


If the plants still have a grower tag with a numerical code on it, you might try sending a photo along with the tag information to the grower and see if they can help you.

Your second picture is very similar to one I have. Mine is a NOID as well. I also like to try and find an ID that I can use for my records lol. Look up Balden's kelidascope, it's a very popular phal to find in grocery stores and most of the pictures I find of it are identical to my plant. Although we can never know for sure, it's still fun to try to find a name for our NOIDs 🙂
