Water culture question
 

Can heating mats be used in water culture? I don't have full water culture. I soak my roots 2 days a week, but need to increase temperature around the roots to promote new root growth. The vase is curved at the top so I think the radiant heat would be trapped. I'm just not sure if it would get too hot.

If you left a small amount of water, maybe .5"-1", there's no way it would get too hot, and maintaining the temperature of the water above ambient you'll increase evaporation and consequently humidity in the root zone.

Those were my thoughts as well.
