Cattleya Callistoglossa 'Taylor' (purpurata x warscewiczii)
Smells like fruit loops!! The flowers got the warscewiczii size but did not inherit the rambling growth habit. Instead, it has the clean, upright growths of the purpurata. Best of both worlds!:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

Lovely flowers, Steve. Not sure how I'd like the fruit loops smell. And I'm really scratching my head in an effort to figure out where the scent came from. I've yet to have seen a Cattleya warscewiczii that had any type of appreciable scent (if fragrant-flowered plants of this species exist, I've never been fortunate enough to find one), and isn't Cattleya purpurata supposed to smell like anise (licorice)? Cool looking blooms--and they do look huge.
