Dendrobium subuliferum
Dendrobium subuliferum... an easy miniature that has grown well potted in a small unglazed terracotta pot using sphagnum moss as a medium (grown in a terrarium under artificial light with an approximate photo-period of around 10 hours, temperatures ranging from 74-86F, high humidity levels, watered weekly and lightly fertilized every other week).

Beautiful! Thinking of getting one... what kind of light are you using? What temps are you keeping it at?

*corrected rush job on this post - should have been 10 supp. diodes instead of 8

If interested, here is the fixture I'm using. Consists of six Cree CXA1304 cobs (5000K) and ten supplemental diodes (460nm blue, 660nm deep red, and 700-750nm far red) driven soft with 300ma (about 27 watts). A bit overkill and overbuilt for a small growing enclosure, but I can easily adjust intensity with driver amperage or by lowering/raising the light fixture. Cost for this build was approx. $45 (diodes, driver, and heat sink). Sorry about the time stamp being on the photo. Took several 'before the hurricane' pictures of the house/yard and forgot to turn the time stamp feature off. https://i.imgur.com/pB2fu99l.jpg |
Been really pleased with this plant. Besides being an easy, low maintenance miniature, it has been blooming since late August. Flowers seem to last for a month + before withering away and falling off, then new buds on other canes begin opening up.

A cutie for sure.

Brief update
This little Dendrobium species reminds me of the energizer-bunny... keeps going & going. Was able to make 2 divisions off the original plant so far. Hope to keep this one going in my collection for awhile. Very impressed with the ease of growing (has been in bloom since September).
